Thanks for coming to our website and visiting my blog. In times of social distancing we certainly need to practice more spiritual closeness. Today things seem to be on the same track they have been on. There was some good news out of China today. It's great to hear some good news for a change. However we learned today that the first case of the virus has been confirmed in Madison County.
We need to contine to pray and ask for God's blessing upon His world today. Pray for one another, use this time with family to grow closer together as a family and in your relationship with God. Contact those who might have little contact with outsiders and check on them.
The church is a family, let's make sure we respond like one.
Have a good day,

Good morning everyone!
This is another day, but the good news is that it is the day that the Lord has made we need to rejoice and be glad in it!
I want to encourage you to visit our Facebook page later on today as I am posting another Bible study for Wednesday night.
Have a good day,

Anybody got cabin fever yet? This is the most challenging kind of cabin fever known to man. We are encouraged to stay home and participate in social distancing. Yet you probably saw the pictures of all the Spring Breakers on the beaches of Florida this week as if there was nothing of any importance going on around the world.
Sometimes we can get too confident in our own judgement and wind up making bad decisions. I am not sure why the beaches were even open outside of the greed factor that surrounds many bad decisions. I want to encourage you to do the right thing. Think through your decisions, but don't put fear on a pedestal as if it were something to be worshipped today.
God bless you and have a great day,

Good afternoon! Just returned from a grocery run. It is almost impossible to find paper towels! What are people doing with all this stuff? Oh well, we were able to find some and for that we are grateful. As I was sitting in the car waiting on Paula I witnessed several things that under normal circumstances you would not see. I saw a virtual hug where two ladies acted as if they were giving each other a hug. I saw a teenage boy open the door to a store with his foot instead of grabbing the handle. These are certainly times like we have never witnessed before.
"The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14
Stay safe and have a blessed day!

Billy Graham preached a powerful message many years ago that speaks clearly to the situation we find ourselves in at this very moment. Below is an excerpt from that sermon.
"Habakkuk said, “Lord please tell me what you’re doing.” And God said, “No, I’m not going to tell you, Habakkuk. Because if I told you what I was doing you wouldn’t believe it.”
If God today told us what He’s doing in the world, we wouldn’t believe it.
Don’t you think God’s given up, and God’s abdicated, and God’s left the throne. He hasn’t.
He’s still on the throne. And those of us that know Him put our trust in Him and Him alone.
I don’t put my trust in Washington. I don’t put my trust in the United Nations. I don’t put my trust in myself. I don’t put trust in my money.
I put my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
When all the rest of it fails and crumbles and shatters, He’ll be there."

Good morning! I hope you are hanging in there during this trying days. Please pray for Hazel Owens and her family during the funeral today for Kenneth.
Someone sent the following out the other day which I think is powerful. A source was not quoted.
"In three short months, just like He did with the plagues of Egypt, God has taken away everything we worship. God said, "you want to worship athletes, I will shut down the stadiums. You want to worship musicians, I will shut down Civic Centers. You want to worship actors, I will shut down theaters. You want to worship money, I will shut down the economy and collapse the stock market. You don't want to go to church and worship Me, I will make it where you can't go to church"
"If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
Maybe we don't need a vaccine, Maybe we need to take this time of isolation from the distractions of the world and have a personal revival where we focus on the ONLY thing in the world that really matters. Jesus."
Have a blessed day,

I hope that you are having a great day! Things are seeming to remain fairly constant in this war against the coronavirus. I am praying, as are you are, that one day soon we will see the healing hand of God at work in a unifying way. I think that it is so said that during this crisis politicians are still playing politics while people are suffering because they don't have a job and many do not have an income because of it. Unity is what we need to pray will take place in this great nation of ours. I am confident that God has this and there are only some things that God can do to bring this pandemic to an end. But at the same time there are things that we can be doing. Let's everyone do their part.

What a beautiful day! I hope that you are having a great day. I don't know about you but I am thankful for grocery stores that allow you to order online so that you can go pick it up or they will deliver it. The problem is that it's hard to find some of the things you want. Tried to buy any hand sanitizer, or paper products? Pretty hard to find, yet we continue on one day at a time believing that God has got this and soon we will be back to life as we have known it.
Let's continue to pray for one another.

It's another day and I don't know about you but I am grateful to God to have it. So many people around the world have lost their lives or are facing great illness today. Yet there was a little bit of an encouraging word that I listened too on a major cable news network last night. It appears that the numbers we have been projecting from all during this pandemic may have been faulty. Improper data can lead people to believe that things are worse than they are. Don't get me wrong many people have lost their lives, many people are sick, many people have been exposed, people are still testing positive and the death rate continues to rise, but perhaps the projections are off because of the data that came in early on that might be faulty.
The fear among a great number of people is that every state in the United States is going to be like New York City or Los Angeles before this is over. Experts now do not hold to that theory it doesn't seem. And it will be great if the data is wrong and the projections are wrong. Time will tell of course, but in the meantime our hope continues to be in the Lord!
God bless you,

A message from Franklin Graham.
I wanted to write you with an update. The coronavirus has turned everyday life for most people upside down. America, like most of the world, is in a state of emergency. Millions are faced with unemployment or business loss, and most tragic of all, so many are facing this pandemic without the hope of Jesus Christ. People are filled with anxiety and fear.
At the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, we opened a 24/7 prayer line for people who want someone to pray with them. Early this week, we began airing a 60-second evangelistic message on TV across the entire United States, and we have had thousands of people call. We are humbled by this opportunity to share about His love and salvation.
If you are struggling with worry in the midst of this crisis, call us at 888-388-2683—or share this number with your loved ones, friends, or others on social media. We know that prayer does make a difference.
Chaplains with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team are in Italy, the epicenter of this crisis. As they minister to medical personnel, patients, and families, pray with us that many will find new life in Christ.
I am deeply grateful for your partnership. Your financial support and your prayers make this ministry possible.
The days may feel uncertain, but we serve a God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He alone “is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1, ESV), and we are urgently sharing that truth with a hurting world.

I hope you had a good day today. As serious as things are in our world today it reminds me of a very important truth. One person can change the world! Whoever was the first person with the cornavirus I'm sure never intended for this to happen. But somewhere, someone got the virus and it took off from there and has impacted the world like the world has never been physically impacted before.
On a more positive note, there was another man over 2000 years ago who impacted the world and has been doing so ever since and His name if Jesus! Jesus death on the cross has reached into every part of the world and continues to do so.
One person can make a major difference. Let's make it more personal. YOU can make a difference right here and right now!
I hope that you will join me tomorrow night for our Recharge Bible Study. We have had to put our FAB FIVE series on hold, but tomorrow night we will pick up where we left out. We will be talking about the power of the Holy Spirit. Please join me and invite others to listen as well to what I believe can be a life changing message.
