Can God Save Me?

That's a question that perhaps you are asking yourself right now. You either grew up in church, never went to church, or never felt that you needed God in your life. But now, for some reason, all of that has changed. Your thinking about God changed, and you now wonder whether it's too late to connect with God.

The answer to your question is 'no'; it's never too late to connect with God. God has been waiting to make this connection with you. You see God loves you. You might say that you are not too sure of that, and the reason you say that is perhaps because of your track record with Him. You've never given Him the time of day. The good news is that God has never stopped loving or reaching out to you. God wants you to become a part of His family, one of His children.

Let me tell you just how much God loves you. He loves you so much that He allowed His son, Jesus Christ, to come to this earth to give His life on the cross for you so that you could be saved. You might say, why would He do something like that for me? He did it because you owed a debt you could never pay. It was a sin debt, and the only one who could take care of your sin debt was the sinless son of God, Jesus. He died so that you might live. He died so that you might have your sins forgiven and become a new person with new hope and new dreams concerning the future.

To get to that point in your life, there are several things you need to do:

ADMIT that you are a sinner. Have you ever done anything that displeased God? Then you are a sinner; everyone has sinned and fallen short of God's plan for their lives.

BELIEVE that Jesus died on the cross for your sins. The Bible says that God so loved the world that He sent His one and only son to die for our sins so that we might enjoy an eternal relationship with God.

CONFESS that what God says is right regardless of what you might say. If you confess your sinfulness before God and ask Him to forgive you of your sins and come into your life and take control, you will experience firsthand the answer to the question, CAN GOD SAVE ME?

Dear God,

I know that I am a sinner. Please forgive me for all my sin. Come into my life and take control. I want to follow you all the remaining days of my life. Thank you for loving me when I didn't love you. Thank you for dying on the cross so that I could be forgiven. I love you, and I know that you love me! Amen.
